LOS ANGELES WOMEN IN MUSIC (LAWIM) NAMES NEW BOARD MEMBERS
LOS ANGELES – Jan. 5, 2012 – Los Angeles Women in Music (LAWIM) announces the appointment of three new board members. President, Leanne Summers said, “LAWIM is very excited to welcome these new board members. These women are creative individuals and respected business professionals. Their individual talents, expertise and desire to advance our mission brings fresh and positive energy to our team as we continue to extend our reach to women in all walks of the music industry and expand our programs and membership benefits." New board members include: Charlyn Bernal is the Associate Director of Film and Television Music for the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP). In addition, she is a composer, orchestrator and sound designer with extensive credits (Jeepers Creepers, Providence, The West Wing, The Drew Carey Show, Early Edition, 413 Hope Street, The Ellen Show, Maggie Winters, Cupid, Roswell, Once and Again, Two of a Kind, Felicity, It's Like You Know, Sportsnight, Boomtown, Clubhouse and Odyssey 5.) Charlyn is a graduate of USC's Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television Program. Andrea Franklin has worked in the music and entertainment industry for over 20 years as a music supervisor for film, television, video, and audio book projects; music producer; Director of Licensing & A&R Administration for major record labels, and as an independent music consultant through her dba, Dolce Diva Music. Andrea has directly interacted with Jonathan Winters, Jim Belushi, John Travolta, Lieber & Stoller, Berry Gordy, Barry White, Etta James, Jeffrey Osborne, Peabo Bryson, Janis Ian, among others. She is also a certified paralegal. Anjani Lynn White is the founder (1987) and former CEO (1987-2001) of Axium Entertainment Services, one of the largest entertainment payroll companies with offices in New York, Burbank, Toronto, Vancouver and London. Axium was a union signatory to all the entertainment unions, including Musician's Local 47 and 802, SAG, AFTRA, and the DGA. Clients included Sony, DreamWorks, Universal, Fox, Cartoon Network, Dick Clark and more.
