SENNHEISER ELECTRONIC CORPORATION DONATES MICROPHONES AND SUPPORT TO LOCAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION
LOS ANGELES – Aug. 4, 2011 – Sennheiser Electronic Corporation has partnered with Los Angeles Women in Music (LAWiM) as the official live performance microphone sponsor. Designed to perform under pressure, the microphones guarantee excellent sound results 365 days a year and are top rated in the industry.
Sennheiser microphones first appeared on LAWiM stages in December 2010 at the Comet Award Celebration in Hollywood. In June 2011, the company donated several microphones for LAWiM’s monthly live performance events and committed to continued support. In celebration of the newly created partnership, Sennheiser also provided LAWiM with an e935 Vocal Microphone for the June 2011 “Members Only Monthly Giveaway.”
LAWiM President, Leanne Summers said, “The quality of sound on any performance stage is a direct reflection of the organization, and particularly important if you represent music industry professionals! Owning our own microphones gives us more control over what is presented to the public and provides consistency from show to show and venue to venue. The Evolution Series handles the countless vocal timbres, musical genres and instrument applications that we encounter with our shows. We are extremely grateful to Sennheiser for their support of what we do.”
LAWiM, an award-winning non-profit organization dedicated to music education, outreach and networking, produces regular monthly live performance events for musicians in the community, including Singer-Songwriter Night and Young Talent Night. Singer-Songwriter Night, the longest running event of its kind in LA, features a one-hour networking event and a showcase of original music at M Bar Hollywood.
Young Talent Night is a live webcast showcase for young performers that provides an opportunity for kids to perform in an intimate, eclectic setting for a small audience of family and friends. LAWiM president, Leanne Summers, was recently honored at the Project MuszEd “Making a Notable Difference” Awards for her role in organizing the program and which also supports LAWiM’s “Musical Gifts and Scholarship Program” for kids in need.
