Born and raised in Los Angeles, Sandra Piller has the deep vocal talent and hearty, rough and tumble life experiences of a Nashville veteran. Her music is a perfect reflection of the powerful joys and pains in life - from moments of great happiness to inevitable heartache.
A fan of pop country stars like Crystal Gayle, Patsy Cline and Kenny Rogers, it was the music of The Judds that really inspired her to eventually pursue a singing career in country music.
Having lost her eldest daughter and second husband, well known television producer, Michael Piller, in recent years, she is committed to mostly lively, up tempo songs that portray life and love and fresh starts. These are songs truly everyone can relate to, that let the listeners know that for better or worse, we’re all on the same path together.
Over the years, no matter how the responsibilities of motherhood tugged at Sandra who has two other grown children away from her lifelong dream of being a professional singer… showbiz always pulled her back. Perhaps it’s genetic, as she grew up the daughter of Sandra Giles, a popular screen and stage actress who currently gives weekly swing dance nights in Los Angeles.
Sandra scored her first two single song publishing deals as a writer with legendary Sun Records icon and country music producer Cowboy Jack Clement. For the past several years she has collaborated with 25-year Nashville songwriting veteran Jane Bach (Reba McEntire, Collin Raye, JoDee Messina). Thanks to Piller Squared Productions (her late husband Michael’s TV production company that is currently run by her son Shawn and partner Lloyd Segan), Sandra’s songs have been heard over the years on shows like The Dead Zone on the USA Network.

 “Kindred Spirits”
Starting off with a surprising remake of Exile's "I Could Get Used to You" (the first single) the album was produced by rock and country legend and pedal steel guitar master, Marty Rifkin, whose credits include Tom Petty, Dwight Yoakum, Jewel, and Bruce Springsteen. Songwriters on the CD include Jane Bach (Reba McEntire, Collin Raye, JoDee Messina) and Carol Chase (longtime member of Lynyrd Skynyrd). Reaching into her own family treasury, Sandra puts a signature country spin on songs written by her mother-in-law, Ruth Roberts, the famed sports songwriter of Meet the Mets and It's A Wonderful Day for a Ballgame (the Dodger's theme song). Uplifting yet soul-searching lyrics characterize Kindred Spirit's thoughtful and heartfelt songs and upbeat, danceable tracks pay homage to Sandra's loyal following of swing dancers in Los Angeles. A CD that at once embraces joy and pain, it proves to be the sweet awakening of a talented singer and songwriter.
