Her life was turned upside down once again when best friend, Stefanie Stroh, disappeared without a trace in the Nevada Desert. Ironically, the intensity of the search for her friend was instrumental in bringing Caroline back to a sense of self and purpose. Three years later, she graduated with honors from Grove School of Music in Los Angeles, founded Redhead Records, and released her first CD, Compassion, in memory of Stefanie. Since then, eight CDs, numerous music videos and two musical comedies have been written, arranged, performed and produced by Caroline, and in Spring 2011, she headlined the Norway Way Day Festival in San Francisco.
Caroline’s credits also include music for film and television as well as the Norwegian voices of Christopher Robin and Roo in Disney'sWinnie the Pooh. Because of her passionate engagement with human rights and healing, she makes sure her tour schedule includes keynotes, seminars and individual classes in Vocal Freedom. Vocal Freedom® is a training program designed by Caroline Waters to heal from postraumatic stress and optimize performance for entertainment professionals and others by utilizing techniques from Tai Chi, Kundalini Yoga, empowerment exercises and vocal techniques based on her own training with Julliard's Anne Brown, London's Sir Ian Adam, Jazz Hall of Fame's Sue Raney, and Hollywood voice guru, Seth Riggs. "I was immediately impressed with the sound of her voice - the interpretation of song and her extraordinary gift of vocal ability and musicianship. She is an exceptional artist who is a true musical gift and contribution to the arts of our country." Sue Raney
"Caroline Waters is an immensely gifted pianist, guitarist and vocalist. Her stylings combine the quintessential balance between Norah Jones and Ella Fitzgerald. Her beautiful sound and complexity of chords harkens back to a time when musical excellence was in its prime. She is a reminder of what was and what can be, once again, with a return to the center of making real music paramount in importance." "Caroline has a voice that has the power to move the listener. The beauty of texture and phrase displayed by Caroline is a vocal phenomenon. In the array of musical talents, like a new word, Caroline Waters is like a fresh seed planted on the ground of the discussion."
