With the help of West L.A. Music and our newest Young Talent Night sponsor, Vic Firth, LAWIM is proud to help A Place Called Home establish a drumline program at the non-profit youth center in South Central Los Angeles.  

It all began with a previously gifted Sound Percussion piccolo snare drum donated through our Instrument Collection Drive in January. Young Talent Night added the stand, sticks and brushes. When we heard A Place Called Home was trying to launch a drumline program, we purchased the harnesses for their bass drums and triple toms, thanks to the generous discount provided by West L.A. Music. The sticks and mallets needed to get them going were provided by Vic Firth.
