Paulina Vidanez, a student from Oliver Wendell Holmes Middle School and mentor at Inside Out Community Arts, receives a Daisy Rock Debutante Rock Candy Princess Electric Guitar and practice amp (thanks to the Guthzeit family!) from our Instrument Collection Drive. This drive is just one component of our Musical Gifts and Scholarship Program to help in our continued efforts to put musical instruments in the hands of kids in need in Los Angeles.

Through the generous support of our sponsors, LAWiM regularly "gifts" six organizations and community centers/educational facilities with instruments, music camps and more. With the recent addition of our Instrument Collection Drive, we hope to help many more individuals and continue to touch the lives of the kids that utilize the classrooms and programs at these facilities.

" I've always enjoyed music and I've always wanted to perform in front of people. When I joined the Inside Out Community Arts program, I met many great, young musical talents that inspired me. The people and programs made me want to grow moMusic continues to be a great passion in my life. It makes me proud of myself to know that I’m expanding my horizons. 

I was extremely overjoyed to receive the call to inform me that I am the recipient of a guitar! I’m really grateful to Los Angeles Women in Music and the previous owner for making it possible for me to have my own electric guitar. I really wish her the best of luck with music, and a big “Thank you!” in general."
