Bridget Gardiner - V.P., Industry Relations
BRIDGET GARDINER has grown up in the Music Industry all of her life. Over the past 15 years, she recorded 3 self re-leased albums, produced local Phoenix AZ artists, managed a House Music Label, along with management and marketing for multiple producers, engineers and indie artists under her own company name Buddha Global LLC. With a degree in Accounting and Business, and after managing multiple recording studios and artists for over 9 years in Phoenix, Bridget moved to LA to further her management career. After hosting multiple networking music business workshops and seminars for SAE Institute in Hollywood, NAMM, AES and TapeOpCon, Bridget became the Campus President for SAE Institute Los Angeles in 2011. Within a year, she became the West Coast Regional Director, overseeing the San Francisco campus along with LA. In 2014, SAE purchased Ex’pression College, and after completely turning around the LA and SF campuses from being in the red to going over budget by 200% in revenue, Bridget was moved to the San Jose area to help integrate the two schools and communities.
Kathleen Wirt - V.P., Membership
KATHLEEN WIRT has operated the legendary 4th Street Recording studio in Santa Monica, CA since 1987, and has been the sole owner since 2001. Twenty-two acts have been signed to record deals through 4th Street Recording, starting with Fiona Apple, whose spec deal recording of “Shadowboxer” became the first single on her Grammy-nominated multi-platinum album “Tidal.” Next came Incubus, Alien Ant Farm, and Hoobastank, all to become platinum-selling artists. more
LENISE BENT is one of the first women engineers in the industry and honed her skills on many iconic records including Aja by Steely Dan, Breakfast in America by Supertramp and Tusk by Fleetwood Mac, as well as being the first woman to receive a platinum album for engineering for Blondie’s “AutoAmerican” record which included “The Tide is High” and the very first hit rap song “Rapture”. more
Shelby Emerald - V.P., Legal Affairs & Business Development
SHELBY EMERALD is from a small town on the East Coast, known for apple orchards and home to Mary and her famous lamb, the one that followed her to school everyday. She worked her way through school, graduating with a B.S. in English, with a concentration in writing, summa cum laude, from Northeastern University in Boston. She then attended Suffolk University Law School, a recipient of the Leo L. and Alice P. Bottari Scholarship. After graduating, she moved to sunny Los Angeles where she is pursuing her passions of writing and the law. Shelby brings her entrepreneurial and philanthropic spirit to Los Angeles Women in Music.

HARRIET SCHOCK is a songwriter (wrote words and music for the Grammy-nominated "Ain't No Way To Treat A Lady"), a recording artist with seven solo albums, a performer, a songwriting consultant, teacher and lecturer as well as an author and an actor. She has held positions as President and Vice President of Los Angeles Women in Music and was the HOST of the monthly Singer-Songwriter Night (formerly known as the Soirée) - the longest running original music showcase in L.A. - 23 years! more
